Correct Answer - Option 2 : x < y

I. x2 + 7x + 12 = 0

⇒ x2 + 4x + 3x + 12 = 0

⇒ x(x + 4) + 3(x + 4) = 0

⇒ (x + 4)(x + 3)= 0

⇒ x = -4, -3

II. y2 - 11y + 18 = 0

⇒ y2 - 9y - 2y + 18 = 0

⇒ y(y - 9) + 2(y - 9) = 0

⇒ (y - 9)(y - 2) = 0

⇒  y = 9, 2

Comparison between x and y (via Tabulation):
