Aarav’s age after 5 years = ‘a + 5’ years.

Age of Aarav’s mother after 5 years = 2(a + 5) years.

According to question:

3(a – 5) + 10 = 2(a + 5)

=> 3a – 15 + 10 = 2a + 10

=> 3a – 5 = 2a + 10

=> 3a – 2a = 10 + 5

=> a = 15

So, the present age of Aarav is 15 years.
