Correct Answer - Option 1 : Floor Area Ratio
Floor Area Ratio:
The FAR of a project is the total floor area of the building (including the space covered by all the floors in the building) divided by the area of land on which the project is being constructed.
The FAR is decided by municipal corporations and varies from one city to other.
For example,a builder has got a plot of 1,00 sq m and the permissible FAR, as per the development plans, is 1.5. He is allowed to construct a building on 1,50 sq.m. of this plot.
Floor Area ratio is sometimes called Floor Space Ratio (FSR), Floor Space Index (FSI), Site ratio or Plot ratio.
