Correct Answer - Option 3 : 4.4 A

Concept:

Ohms Law

  • Electric current: The rate of flow of electric charge with respect to time is electric current.
  • Potential difference: The work done in bringing a unit positive charge from one point to another is called the potential difference. It is required for the current to flow.
  • Resistance: When current passes through the conductor, it is resisted by the property called resistance.
  • Ohms Law: At constant temperature, a potential difference is directly proportional to the current.

V ∝ I

or

V = IR

R is resistance

Calculation:

Given

Voltage V = 220 V

Resistance R = 50 Ω

Current I = V / R = 220 V /  50 Ω = 4.4 A

So the correct option is 4.4 A
