  • Burzahom is a major Neolithic Site of Kashmir present in the Srinagar district.
    • The site of Burzahom is a unique comprehensive storyteller of life between 3000 BCE to 1000 BCE.
    • It is located on a 'karewa' between the banks of the Dal Lake and the Zabarvan hills, about 5 km from the famous Mughal garden of Shalimar.
    • It was the first  Neolithic site to be discovered in Kashmir.
  • In India Bhimbetka caves are surrounded by the northern boundaries of the Vindhya mountain ranges near Bhopal.
    • It has more than 600 caves that have the oldest prehistoric paintings in India.
