Correct Answer - Option 1 : stabilisation by grouting

Concept:

In the method of stabilization by grouting, stabilizers are introduced by injecting into the soil. In this method, the stabilizers with high viscosity are suitable only for soils with high permeability.

This method is suitable for stabilising buried zones of relatively limited extent, such as pervious stratum below a dam. This method is used to improve the soil that cannot be disturbed.

Stabilization by grouting is not suitable for stabilizing clays because of their very low permeability.
