Correct Answer - Option 1 : resonance

Concept:

Resonance : When the frequency of external exitation is equal to the natural frequency of a vibrating body, the amplitude of vibration becomes excessively large. This concept is known as resonance.

Forced vibrations :  Occur when the object is forced to vibrate at a particular frequency by a periodic input of force. If an object is being forced to vibrate at its natural frequency, resonance will occur and large amplitude vibrations can be observed.

free vibration : The term free vibration is used to indicate that there is no external force causing the motion, and that the motion is primarily the result of initial conditions, such as an initial displacement of the mass element of the system from an equilibrium position and/or an initial velocity.

Damping :  It is the dissipation of energy from a vibrating structure.
