⇒ 5x² -15x + x - 3 =0

⇒ 5x( x - 3) + 1(x -3) = 0 

⇒ (5x +1)(x -3) = 0

⇒ x = -1/5, 3

II. 9y2 + 16y - 4 = 0

⇒ 9y2 -18y + 2y - 4 =0

⇒ 9y( y - 2) + 2(y -2) = 0 

⇒ (9y + 2)(y - 2) = 0

⇒ y = -2/9, 2
