Give one positive and one negative side of poverty conditions in India, and mention the major weaknesses of poverty alleviation programmes?

Positive aspect:-

(i) India's economic growth is one of the fastest in the world which helps in reducing poverty.

Negative aspect:-

(i) Large number of poor lives in villages and dependent upon agriculture where growth is much below expectation.

Weakness of Poverty alleviation programme:-

(i) Lack of proper implementation and right targeting with lots of overlapping schemes.
