Given-  

Total amount divided = 1875.49

Incorrect ratio of distribution = 1 : 2 : 4

Correct ratio of distribution = 4 : 2 : 1

Calculation-

Share of Ram if the amount was distributed in the ratio of 4 : 2 : 1 = 4/7

Share of Ram if the amount was distributed in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 4 = 1/7

Decrease in his share = 4/7 - 1/7 = 3/7

%Decrease in his share = (3/7)/(4/7) × 100

⇒ 75%

∴ Ram's share decreased by 75% due to this incorrect distribution.
