Correct Answer - Option 2 : needs to understand the children's strategies and discuss and have a dialogue with children.

All children can learn by their own strategies, it refers to those approaches, habits of mind, ways of doing things that an individual adopts in order to pursue some desired end. Every child has special interests and learning styles.

Therefore, the teacher needs to adopt innovative and different strategies to help all children succeed as learners and needs to understand the children's strategies and discuss and have a dialogue with children.

In this context, a teacher should follow following strategies-

  • Observe children to identify their interests, needs and capabilities and the pace of their development.
  • These goals need to be based on children’s strengths, weaknesses and interests.
  • provides opportunity to every child
  • ensures that every child is safe, secure and feels valued
  • is balanced, flexible and purposefully planned
  • allows children to develop and learn at their own pace
  • provides a stress free stimulating and enabling learning environment
  • allows children to explore, observe and experiment
  • helps children to develop their skills and abilities
  • builds experiences on children’s previous experiences and learning
  • provides them time to respond
  • promotes active play and learning
  • provides lots of opportunities to learn through play

Thus from above-mentioned points, it is clear that a teacher needs to understand the children's strategies and discuss and have a dialogue with children.
