Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1000

GIVEN:

Divisor = 15 times the quotient and Remainder = 40,

Divisor = 3 times the remainder = 3 × 40 = 120

FORMULA USED:

Divident = Divisor x Quotient + Remainder

CALCULATION:

Divisor = 15 times the quotient

⇒ 120 = 15 × quotient

⇒ Quotient = 120/15 = 8

Divident = Divisor x Quotient + Remainder

⇒ Divident = 120 × 8 + 40

⇒ 960 + 40

⇒ 1000

∴  dividend = 1000
