Correct Answer - Option 1 : 15%

Given:

The article is listed at Rs. 7,600 and the discount offered for the unit is 10%. The net selling price is Rs. 5814

Concept Used:

Discount = Marked price - selling price

Calculation:

The listed price that means the marked price of the article is Rs. 7600

Discount is 10%

After 10% discount price became (90/100) × 7600

⇒ 6840

Final selling price is 5814

2nd discount is (6840 - 5814)

⇒ 1026

The additional discount is given on the price Rs. 6840

The additional discount is (1026/6840) × 100

⇒ 15

∴ 15% additional discount must be given to bring the net selling price to Rs. 5,814.
