Correct Answer - Option 1 : 0.025

Concept:

An effort is required to overcome friction.

∴ Effort = Friction force

\(Friction\ force\ (F) = μ× P\)

where μ = Coefficient of friction, P = Load/ weight

Calculation:

Given:

F = 25 N, Weight = 1 kN = 1000 N

∴ 25 = μ × 1000

μ = 0.025

Hence the coefficient of friction will be 0.025
