Association	Features
Mahajana Sabha of Madras	It was established by M. Veeraraghavachariar, S. Ramaswami Mudaliar, and P. Anandacharlu.  The Madras Mahajan Sabha was formed in May 1884 to co-ordinate the activities of the local association and to ‘provide a focus for the non-official intelligence spread up through the Presidency’.
Rajahmundri Social Reform Asssociation	Veeresalingam Pantulu founded the Rajahmundry Social Reform Association in 1878.  He fought against stereotyping and campaign for widow remarriage.  On December 11, 1881, he organized first widow remarriage in the country.
Indian Association of Lahore	The association was founded in Bengal in 1876 by Surendranath Banerjea and Ananda Mohan Bose. It regarded as a reactionary body of landlords and industrialists.
Poona Sarvajanik Sabha	It was founded on April 2, 1870, by S. H. Chiplunkar, Ganesh Vasudeo Joshi and Mahadev Govind Ranade in Pune. It was formed to represent the rights of peasants. It is a precursor to the Indian National Congress. Bhawanrao Shriniwasrao Pant Pratinidhi, the ruler of Aundh State was the first president. He held the post till 1897. Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Gopal Hari Deshmukh also served as presidents. On March 29, 2016, Meera Pavagi was elected as president
