Correct Answer - Option 1 : 24 W

The correct answer is option 1) i.e. 24 W

CONCEPT:

  • Power is defined as the rate at which electrical energy is consumed.
    • The SI unit of power is the watt (W) or joule per second (J/s).

For a load connected in a circuit with current I and voltage V across it, the power consumed by it is given by:

P = VI

CALCULATION:

Given that:

Volatge, V = 12 V

Current, I = 2 A

Power = VI = 12 × 2 = 24 W
