Correct Answer - Option 1 : 399

Concept:

According to planck’s quantum theory of radiation, the energy of light is equivalent to energy of packets where each packet is known as Photon.

The energy of n moles of photon is given by

E = nNahν;

1 mole of photons = Na = 6.023 × 1023 photons;

Calculation:

Given ν = 1015 s-1, n = 1;

⇒ E = 1 × 6.023 × 1023 × 6.626 × 10-34 × 1015 = 399 kJ;

E = 399 kJ;
