Correct Answer - Option 3 : 112

Given:

Ratio between two numbers = 7 : 16

Second number = 256

Formula Used:

Ratio of two quantity = quantity 1 / quantity 2

Calculation:

The numbers are in the ratio 7 : 16

⇒ 7/16 = First number/Second number

⇒ 7/16 = First number/256

⇒ 7 × 256 = 16 (First number)

⇒ First number = 16 × 7

⇒ First number = 112

∴ The First number is 112
