Correct Answer - Option 1 : 104°F

The correct answer is 104°F.

  • If the temperature of a patient is 40°C then his temperature on the Fahrenheit Scale will be 104°F.

  • Given, Temperature in Celcius = 40oC
  • According to the formula,  \({C \over 100} ={{F-32}\over180}\)
  • \({40 \over 100} ={{F-32}\over180}\)
  • F = 72 + 32 = 104oF.

  • Temperature:
    • Temperature is that physical cause that decides the direction of flow of heat from one body to another body.
    • Heat energy always flows from the body at a higher temperature to the body at a lower temperature.
    • The normal temperature of a human body is 37°C or 98.4 °F.
    • The triple point is the state at which all the three states of matter co-exist.
    • The triple point of water is 273.16 K.
    • The device which measures the temperature of a body is called a thermometer.
    • The inter-conversion relation for Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Reumer scale is:
      • \({C \over 5} ={{F-32}\over9}={R\over4}\)
