Correct Answer - Option 3 : (0, 6)

Concept:

If we consider point A (x1, y1) and B (x2, y2)

then Mid-point of AB = (x, y) can be given by

\(\left( {x,\;y} \right) = \frac{{ x_1 ~+ ~x_2}}{2},\frac{{y_1 ~+~ y_2}}{2}\)

Calculate:

Given:

We have A (2, 4) and B(- 2, 8).

If we consider point A (x1, y1) and B (x2, y2)

then Mid-point of AB = (x, y) can be given by

\(\left( {x,\;y} \right) = \frac{{ x_1~ +~ x_2}}{2},\frac{{y_1 ~+~ y_2}}{2}\)

\(\left( {x,\;y} \right) = \frac{{ 2~+~(-2)}}{2},\frac{{4~+~8}}{2}\)

(x, y) = (0, 6)
