Directions: In each question below is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered I and II. An assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement.

Statement: Government has decided to ban all the factories from the cities with immediate effect to reduce the pollution.

Assumption:

I. Air quality index of the city is exceeding from the warning level.

II. Government believed that the pollution of the cities is because of these factories only.

2. If only assumption II is implicit
3. If either I or II is implicit
4. If neither I nor II is implicit

Correct Answer - Option 1 : If only assumption I is implicit

Assumption II is not implicit because of 'only' word. Assumption I is implicit because it suggest the air quality index in general and did not point out its reason as factories only.

Hence, Only assumption I is implicit.
