Correct Answer - Option 2 : m = 280/3 C

Concept:

In WSM:

Modular ratio, \({\rm{m}} = \frac{{280}}{{3{{\rm{σ }}_{{\rm{cbc}}}}}}\)

Where  \({σ _{cbc}}\;\) is permissible compressive stress.

In LSM:

Modular ratio, \({\rm{m}} = \frac{{{{\rm{E}}_{{\rm{st}}}}}}{{{{\rm{E}}_{\rm{c}}}}}\)

Where Est and Ec are modulus of elasticity of steel and concrete respectively.

Calculation:

Given;

σcbc = C

So, the modular ratio;

 \({\rm{m}} = \frac{{280}}{{3C}}\)
