Correct Answer - Option 3 : 8050

Concept:

Modified CBR method:

\({N_s}\left( {MSA} \right) = \frac{{365\;A\left[ {{{\left( {1 + r} \right)}^n} - 1} \right] \times D \times F}}{r}\)

A = No. of vertical after completion of construction \( = P{\left( {1 + \frac{r}{{100}}} \right)^{x}}\)

x = no. of years for construction

P = Annual avg. daily traffic at starting of construction

D = lane. Dist. Factor (0.5)

F = vehicle damage factor

r = rate of growth

n = Design life (10 – 15 years)

Calculation:

Given, P = 5000, r = 10 %, n = 5 years

\(A = P{\left( {1 + \frac{r}{{100}}} \right)^n} = 5000\;{\left( {1 + 0.10} \right)^5} = 5000 \times {\left( {1.10} \right)^5}\)

∴ A = 8052.55  ≈ 8053.

Hence, Average future flow after 5 years will be 8050.
