Correct Answer - Option 1 : Half

Concept:

From the ideal gas equation we have,

PV = nRT

For isothermal condition the Right Hand Side becomes constant, so

P1V1 = P2V2

Calculation:

Given:

P1 = P, V1 = V and V2 = 2V

So, from the condition of isothermal condition we have

P1V1 = P2V2

PV = P2 × (2V)

P2 = P/2

Hence the final pressure will become half of the initial pressure.
