  • Ghori first invaded Multan in 1175 AD. At this time, Karamati, the followers of the Shiites was ruling. These Karamati were Buddhists before becoming Muslims. Ghori won the Multan.
  • Ghori did the second invasion on Gujarat in 1178 AD, but Moolraj II defeated him in the foothills of the Abu Mountains. This was the first defeat of Muhammad Ghori in India. This war was conducted by Nayika Devi, the wife of Moolraj.

  •  Qutub-ud-din Aibak, a slave of Muhammad Ghori, who became the ruler after the death of his master, founded the Slave Dynasty.
  • He was a great builder who built the majestic 238 feet high stone tower known as Qutub Minar in Delhi.
