Correct Answer - Option 1 : C

Given :

There are two buses running from opposite directions from a distance of 300 km

Buses meet at 220 km away from one of the stations

Concept used :

Speed is directly proportional to the distance, if time is the same for both the vehicles

Calculations :

Let the distance covered by bus from Pune station be 220 km

So the distance covered by Bus from Mumbai station will be 80 km

Ratio of speeds

Speed of bus from Pune : Speed of bus from Mumbai = Distance from Pune station : Distance from Mumbai station

⇒ 220 : 80 = 22 : 8

⇒ 11 : 4

∴ The ratio of the speed is 11 : 4.
