  • National Nutrition Mission was launched on 15th August 2002.
    • This scheme was aimed to provide healthy food to pregnant women affected by malnutrition and to young girls.

  • In Madhya Pradesh for the welfare of SC/ST farmers Annapurna and Soorajdhara Yojana was started. This scheme was started in 2000-2001.
    • Annapurna Yojana
      • In this scheme, food grains are provided by the government to SC/ST farmers.
    • By 2016-17 so far 147 Thousands of SC farmers and 146 thousands of ST farmers are benefitted from this scheme.
    • Soorajdhara Yojana –
      • In this scheme total of 264111, SC/ST farmers are benefiting from this scheme till 2017.
      • 1245.3 SC farmers and 139608 ST farmers are benefitted.
  •  Sulabh Yojana was started in 1975-76.
    • The aim of this scheme was to provide employment to urban unemployed youths.
  • Jeevan Dhara Yojana was started in 1988-89.
    • This scheme was started as a sub-scheme under Jawahar Employment Scheme.
  • Later in 1996-97, it was launched individually.
    • This scheme is also named as Scheme of 10 Lakh well.
