Correct Answer - Option 1 : B

Given:

The given numbers are 12, 1, 10, 1, 9, 3, 4, 9, 7, 9

We have to find the median of the given numbers.

Concept Used:

First, we have to arrange the given data as ascending order then we have to see how many numbers of data (n) is given

If n is odd then, Median = {(n/2) + 1}th term

If n is even then, Median = [(n/2)th term + {(n/2) + 1}th term]/2

Calculation:

Arranging the given data in ascending order get, 1, 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 9, 9, 10, 12

Here the total number of data (n) = 10, which is an even number

(n/2)th term = 5th term = 7

{(n/2) + 1}th term = 6th term = 9

Required median = (7 + 9)/2

⇒ 16/2

⇒ 8

∴ The median of the given numbers is 8.
