Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 3 ∶ 5

Given -

Sugar costing Rs. 40 per kg be mixed with sugar costing Rs. 48 per kg

Profit = 20%, selling price = Rs. 54

Formula used -

Selling price = (100 + profit) × cost price/100

Solution -

Let the cost price of whole mixture be Rs. x.

⇒ x = 54 × 100/120

⇒ x =  Rs. 45

Ratio = (48 – 45) ∶ (45 – 40)

⇒ 3 ∶ 5

∴ The ratio is 3 : 5.
