Correct Answer - Option 4 : C

Given:

25 paise, 10 paise and 5 paise coins are in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 3 in a bag. The total value of money is Rs. 180

Concept Used:

Concept of ratio and proportion

Calculation:

The ratio of 25 paise, 10 paise and 5 paise is 1 : 2 : 3

Let, the number of coins are y, 2y and 3y respectively

Total number of money is Rs. 180 = 180 × 100

⇒ 18000 paise

Accordingly,

(25 × y) + (10 × 2y) + (5 × 3y) = 18000

⇒ 25y + 20y + 15y = 18000

⇒ 60y = 18000

⇒ y = 300

Number of 10 paise coins is 2 × 300 = 600

∴ There will be 600 coins of 10 paise.
