Correct Answer - Option 2 : 32 cm

Given:

Ratio of sides = 3 ∶ 4 ∶ 6 ∶ 8

Perimeter of quadrilateral = 84 cm.

Concept:

Replace the ratio with a variable and add the sides and equate it with the value of perimeter to get the value of variable. Finally calculate the value of the largest side.

Calculation:

Let the sides of the quadrilateral be 3x, 4x, 6x and 8x.

Perimeter of quadrilateral = sum of sides

⇒ 84 cm = 3x + 4x + 6x + 8x

⇒ 84 cm = 21x

⇒ x = 84/21 = 4 cm

Length of largest side = 8x = 8 × 4 = 32 cm.

Length of largest side is 32 cm
