Correct Answer - Option 4 : 20%

Given:

45 SP = 36 CP

Formula Used:

Loss% = (Loss/CP) × 100

Loss = CP-SP

Calculation:

45 SP = 36 CP

⇒ SP/CP  =36/45

⇒ SP/CP = 4/5

⇒ SP : CP = 4x : 5x

Loss% = (Loss/CP) × 100

Loss = CP-SP

⇒ Loss% = (5x – 4x)/5x × 100

⇒ Loss% = x/ 5x × 100

∴ Loss% = 20%

The Correct option is 4 i.e. 20%
