Correct Answer - Option 2 : 380

Given:

In a mixture 120 liters, the ratio of milk and water 5 : 1. If this ratio is to be 1 ∶ 4

Calculation

Quantity of milk = (120/6) × 5 = 100 liter

Quantity of water in it = (120 – 100) liters = 20 liter

New ratio = 1 ∶ 4

Let the quantity of water to be added further be x liter

According to the questions

⇒ 100/(20 + x) = 1/4

⇒ 400 = 20 + x

⇒ x = 380 liter

Quantity of water to be added is 380 liter
