Correct Answer - Option 3 : 4000

Given:

A sum of money is to be distributed among P, Q, R, S in the proportion of 6 ∶ 1 ∶ 4 ∶ 3.

R gets Rs. 4000 more than S.

Calculations:

Let the shares of P, Q, R, and S be Rs. 6x, Rs. x, Rs. 4x and Rs. 3x

According to the question

⇒ 4x – 3x = 4000

⇒ x = 4000

Q's share = Rs. x = Rs. (1 x 4000) = Rs. 4000

∴ Q’s share is Rs. 4000
