Correct Answer - Option 3 : 3 ∶ 2

Given:

The ratio of salaries of Raj and joy is 4 : 3

The ratio of their expenditure is 5 : 4

The ratio of salary and savings of Raj is 8 : 3

Formula used

Income = Expenditure + saving

Calculation

Let salary of Raj be 80x

So, Saving of Raj = 30x

Expenditure of Raj = 80x – 30x = 50x

Salary of Joy = (80x/4) × 3 = 60x

Expenditure of Joy = (50x/5) × 4 = 40x

Saving of Joy = 60x – 40x = 20x

Ratio of Raj and Joy’s saving = 30x ∶ 20x = 3 ∶ 2

∴ Ratio of Raj and Joy’s saving is 3 ∶ 2
