Given:

P can do work = 12 days

Q can do work = 16 days

P, Q, and R together work = 6 days

Concept used:

Total work = LCM

Divide the money according to the ratio of efficiency

Formula used:

Efficiency = Work/Time

Calculations:

Total work = LCM of 12, 16, 6 = 48

Person	Time	Total work	Efficiency
P	12 days	48	48/12 = 4
Q	16 days	48	48/16 = 3
P + Q + R	6 days	48	48/6 = 8

 

Then efficiency of R = 8 – 7 = 1

Efficiency of P ∶ Q ∶ R = 4 ∶ 3 ∶ 1

Share of R = (4848/8) × 1 = Rs. 606

∴ Share of R is Rs.606
