  • The Burhanpur district is known as the City of Handlooms. The First Thermal Power Plant was opened in the Burhanpur district ,namely Chandani Thermal Power Plant.
  • The tomb of Mumtaz situated in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh. She was the beloved wife of 5th Mughal Emperor Shahjahan.
