Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs. 1,00,000

Given:

Discount: 9% fetch Rs 3000 more

Formula used:

Discount = Marked price - Selling price

Calculation:

Let the marked price is Rs. x

⇒ (x – 12% of x) + 3000 = (x – 9% of x)

⇒ 88x/100 + 3000 = 91x/100

⇒ 3000 = 3x/100

⇒ 1,00,000 = x

∴ The market price is Rs. 1,00,000
