Correct Answer - Option 3 : Giuinea-worm

Explanation:

  • Cyclops are tiny crustaceans of the family Cyclopidae, also called water fleas. They are usually found in stagnant bodies of freshwater such as wells and ponds in poor agricultural communities in rural or periurban areas.
  • In Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Yemen they are the intermediate/secondary hosts of guinea worm, Dracunculus medinensis, a parasite that causes guinea-worm disease or dracunculiasis. The disease is transmitted to humans when they drink water containing infected cyclops.
  • Guinea-worm disease is rarely fatal but is severely debilitating. The lower limbs are most commonly affected but the worms, which are up to a meter in length, can emerge from any part of the body. There are no drugs to treat the disease but highly effective and simple preventive measures are available

  • Ancylostoma also called Hookworm, belongs to the phylum Ascheminthes, found in the small intestine. They cause intestinal disease. The person gets infected with hookworms by walking barefoot on the contaminated soil. The larvae of ancyclostoma can penetrate the skin and cause infection.
  • The symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weight loss.
  • Enterobius or Oxyuruis belongs to the phylum Aschelminthes or Nemanthelminthes.
  • It is also known by the name Pin-worm or Seat-worm.
  • These are common parasites of Human large intestines, especially they are found in children.
  • Male pinworms are about 2 to 5 mm long while the females range in length from 8 to 13 mm.
  • Roundworm is the common name for Ascaris.
  • Ascaris is a genus of parasitic nematode worms known as the "small intestinal roundworms," a kind of parasitic worm.
  • One species, Ascaris lumbricoides, affects humans and causes ascariasis to the disease.
  • Ascaris lumbricoides is the "large roundworm" of humans, growing up to 35 cm (14 in.) in length.
