Correct Answer - Option 3 : 65 Km/hr

Given:

First distance = 150 km

First speed = 75 km/h

Remaining distance = 130

Overall average speed in entire journey = 70 km

Concept used:

Average speed = (Total distance)/(Total time)

Calculations:

Time taken in first 150 km = 150/75 = 2 hr

Total distance = 150 + 130 = 280 km

So, total time = Distance/Speed

⇒ 280/70 = 4 hrs

Time for rest of the journey = 4 – 2 = 2 hrs

Average speed for the remaining journey = 130/2 = 65 km/hr

The car’s average speed for the remaining journey is 65 km/h
