Correct Answer - Option 1 : 80, 100, 150

Let x be the common multiple.

The ratio of the number of each type of coins = 8 : 10 : 15

So, the number of 50p coins is 8x, the number of 25p coins is 10x and the number of 10p coins is 15x.

According to question:

(0.50 × 8x + 0.25 × 10x + 0.10 × 15x) = 80 (Here paise is converted to rupees because the total amount is given in terms of rupees)

(4x + 2.5x + 1.5x) = 80

8x = 80

x = 10

Number of 50p coins = 8x = 8 × 10 = 80

Number of 25p coins = 10x = 10 × 10 = 100

Number of 10p coins = 15x = 15 × 10 = 150

Hence, “80, 100, 150” is the correct answer.
