Correct Answer - Option 2 : 28

The ratio of the present ages of M and N is 7 : 6.

Let the common multiple be x.

So, the present age of M = 7x and the present age of N = 6x.

The sum of the present age of M and N is 52 years.

According to question:

7x + 6x = 52

13x = 52

x = 4

Age of M = 7x

= 7 × 4 = 28 years

Age of N = 6x

= 6 × 4 = 24

Hence, the age of M is 28 years.
