1, 2 and 3 are NOT correct.

  • Kalibangan discovered by Amlanand Ghosh in 1953.
  • The site was later excavated by Brijvasilal in 1961.
  • There was evidence of growing Barley and Mustard are found on the site.
  • Houses were made from Raw bricks (from mud) not baked brick.
  • Hence statement 1, 2 and 3 are not correct.

  • Kalibangan site located on the bank of river Ghaghhar in Hanumangarh District.
    • The site Kalibangan - literally means 'black bangles'.
    • It derives its name for the dense distribution of the fragments of black bangles which were found at the surface of its mounds.
    • The citadel complex is roughly a parallelogram.
    • The wall is made of mud bricks in a ratio of 4:2:1, with mud plaster on both the inner and outer faces.
    • House drains of mud-brick and wood discharged into jars in the streets, above the ground.
    • The drainage system was not properly developed
    • Cylindrical seal of Mesopotamia is found here.
    • Fire altars were also built in residences where a room was apparently earmarked for them.
