Correct Answer - Option 2 : 9, 27, 45

Average of three numbers is 27

So, the sum of the three numbers = (27 × 3)

= 81

Let the first number be ‘a’.

The second is three times the first.

So, 2nd number = 3a

The third number is five times the first.

So, 3rd number = 5a

According to question:

(a + 3a + 5a) / 3 = 27

9a = 27 × 3

a = 81 ÷ 9

a = 9

∴ 1st number = a = 9

nd number = 3a = 3 × 9 = 27

3rd number = 5a = 5 × 9 = 45

Hence, ‘9, 27, 45’ is the correct answer.
