When P-N junction diode is forward biased and then reverse biased the flow of current is mainly due to

a) diffusion of electrons in first case and drift velocity in the second case

Correct option is C diffusion of electrons in both cases.

When p - n function diode forward biased, then p - type is connected to the positive terminal of battery and n -type isa connected to the negative terminal of the battery hence, electrons are attracted toward positive terminal of battery and holes are attracted towards negative terminal at the battery thus, electrons get captured into the hole and lines the hole. The process will continued and current will flowe due to diffusion of electrons and holes.
