Correct Answer - Option 1 : Brihatkatha

The correct answer is Brihatkatha.

  •  Bṛhatkatha is an ancient Indian epic (Sanskrit, the Great Narrative) said to have been written by Guṇaḍhya in a poorly-understood language known as Paisaci language.
  • The work no longer exists but several later adaptations the Kathāsaritsagara, Bṛhatkathamanjari, and Bṛhatkathaslokasaṃgraha in the Sanskrit language, as well as the Vasudevahiṃḍi and Peruṅkatai.
  • The date of its composition is uncertain. According to testimonials by later Sanskrit poets such as Subandhu, Daṇḍin, and Baṇa, the Bṛhatkatha existed in the 6th century CE.

  • Rajashekhara wrote the Kavyamimamsa between 880 and 920 CE.  He was the court poet of the Gurjara Pratiharas dynasty.
  • The Amarakosha was written by the ancient Indian scholar Amarasimha in the Sanskrit language. It is the popular name for Namalinganushasanam.
