Correct Answer - Option 2 : \(28\frac{2}{7}\) Km/hr

Given:

Ram covers 600 km with the speed of 36 km/hr and 720 km with the speed of 24 km/hr

Formula used/Concept Used:

Speed = Distance/time

Average speed = (Total distance)/Total time

Calculation:

The total distance is 1320 km, Let the time when a man covers 600 kilometers is t1 and t2 when the man covers the distance of 720 kilometeRs.

When a man covers 600 kilometers at the speed of 36 km/hr

∴ 36 = 600/t1

⇒ t1 = 50/3

And when covers the distance of 720 kilometers at the speed of 24 km/hr

∴ 24 = 720/t2

⇒ t2 = 30

Now, average speed = [Total distance/(t1 + t2)] = [1320/((50/3) + 30)] = 28\(\frac{2}{7}\) Km/hr

∴ The average speed of a Ram is \(28\frac{2}{7}\) Km/hr
