Correct Answer - Option 1 : Charles Babbage

The correct answer is Charles Babbage.

  • During the mid-1830s Charles Babbage developed plans for the Analytical Engine. He was an English mathematician and inventor of computers, he credited with having conceived the first automatic digital computer.
  • A computer is a machine that can be instructed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical operations automatically via computer programming.
  • Modern computers have the ability to follow generalized sets of operations, called programs.
  • These programs enable computers to perform an extremely wide range of tasks. A "complete" computer including the hardware, the operating system (main software), and peripheral equipment required and used for "full" operation can be referred to as a computer system.

  • The credit for developing the first computer program goes to Ada Lovelace, a student of Babbage.
  • Howard Aiken developed the first Mechanical Computer ‘Mark-I’ in ‘ENIAC‑I’ in 1946.
  • Albert Einstein established a relation between mass and energy on the basis of the special theory of relativity in 1905.
    • According to this mass can be converted into energy and vice-versa. i.e., E = mc2.
  • Fahrenheit Scale was invented by Fahrenheit.
  • Alan Turing, Father of the Modern Computer
