Correct Answer - Option 2 : 8750

Given:

The ratio between the expenditure of A and B = 5 : 7

Calculation:

Let be assume expenditure of A = 5p

Expenditure of B = 7p

⇒ 2000 = 7p – 5p

⇒ p = 1000

⇒ Expenditure of B  = 7 × 1000 = 7000

⇒ The income of A = (125/100) × 7000

⇒ 8750

∴ The required result is 8750.
