  • It was launched in 1982.
  • The satellite was abandoned in September 1983.
  • Bhaskara-I, weighing 444 kg at launch, was launched on 7 June 1979 from Kapustin Yar aboard the Intercosmos launch vehicle.
  • Rohini RS-D1 was the first satellite successfully launched by the indigenous launch vehicle SLV.
